Manipur PSC Eligibility Criteria
Candidates appearing for Manipur PSC Recruitment should be aware of the eligibility requirements. The eligibility criteria includes age limit, qualification, nationality and number of attempts. The following eligibility criteria is given below:
Age Limit
Candidates must be between the ages of 21 and 38 years as on January 1, 2023, in order to appear for the exam. The upper age limit is relaxable for various reserved categories, which is detailed in the table below:

Educational Qualifications
A candidate must hold a degree from any of the Universities incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other Educational Institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 or possess an equivalent qualification as prescribed under Clause 6 (iii) of Schedule II, Chapter I of the Manipur Civil Services Combined Competitive Examination Rules, 2022.
Note : Candidates possessing professional and technical qualifications which are recognized by the Government as equivalent to the professional and technical degree would also be eligible to apply for the exam.
Nationality
According to the guidelines, an applicant must be a citizen of India in order to be eligible for the Manipur PSC Recruitment 2022-23.
Number of Attempts
Number of attempts for the examination is an important factor of eligibility criteria. Candidates can check the number of attempts mentioned below:
- 6(six) attempts for general candidates
- 9(nine) attempts for OBCs
- No restriction for SC/ST candidates who are otherwise eligible.
- A physically disabled person will get as many attempts as are available to other non-physically handicapped candidates of his or her community, subject to the condition that a physically handicapped candidate belonging to the General Category shall be eligible for seven attempts.
- The relaxation will be available to the physically handicapped candidates who are eligible to avail of reservations applicable to such candidates.
Manipur PSC CCE Syllabus 2024
Individuals aspiring for the Manipur Civil Service Exam must explore the detailed Manipur PSC CCE Syllabus 2024. Manipur PSC Exam Pattern and Syllabus
The Combined Competitive Exam conducted by Manipur Public Service Commission consists of two stages of written papers. For both stages, vast knowledge is required. Manipur PSC: Prelims 2024 Exam Pattern
The first stage of the Manipur PSC exam is prelims, which consists of two objective-type papers of 200 marks each. The duration of each paper is 2 hours. Paper 1 covers General Studies while Paper 2 covers the Civil Service Aptitude Test (CSAT). Candidates who clear the prelims exam qualify for the mains exam.
Manipur PSC Prelims Exam Pattern
- Two objective-type question papers.
- General Studies Paper-II will serve as a qualifying exam, with a minimum qualifying percentage of 33%.
- Exam questions will only be offered in English.
- Each paper will last for two hours. Students with cerebral palsy, locomotor disabilities, and blindness whose dominant extremity is problematic to the point of slowing down function should be granted an extra twenty minutes per hour for each paper.

Manipur PSC Interview 2024
Candidates who pass the Manipur PSC Mains exam will be invited to the 150 marks interview, followed by the preparation of the final result. The goal of the interview round is to evaluate candidates’ confidence levels and thinking skills in handling challenging conditions. After the completion of the interview stage, the final cutoff marks are made public.
